Victory! Despite Mayor Bloomberg’s veto, the city council voted to make the NYC Healthcare Security Act a law.
This important legislation helps protect thousands of employees in NYC. Without the law, responsible companies that provide health benefits have a disadvantage against companies that provide nothing. The act removes this disinsentive and helps to stop the resulting burden on the city and medicaid.

The website for this campaign has been taken down. After the legislation passed, the organizers of this campaign decided to leave their site up until their web address expired.
